Wireless Access Management System (WAMS) |
|
The OSI Wireless Access Management solution is designed for end users who want to run their access control application remotely. No need for hard-wiring! The Wireless Access Management solution (WAMS) can communicate to the Portal Gateways via Wireless 802.11G, other approved RF carriers or, if the application is network enabled, via Ethernet 10/100/1000 BaseT. The software application runs on an industry-standard host running Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP Professional using a non-licensed single user version of SQL. The WAMS also supports web services, thus an administrator can log onto the system and monitor the application from anywhere in the world. |

The U.S. Energy Policy Act of 2005, passed by the U.S. Congress July, 2005, extended Daylight Saving Time (DST) in the U.S. by approximately four weeks. As a result, beginning in 2007, DST will start three weeks earlier on March 11, 2007, and end one week later on November 4, 2007, resulting in a new DST period that is four weeks longer than previously observed. Unless certain updates are applied to your computer, it is possible that the time zone settings for your computer's system clock may be incorrect during this four week period. When your time zone settings are incorrect your clock may be off by one hour, and access control and CCTV software running on your Windows based computer may not display the correct time and cause time-zone controlled functions to occur at inaccurate times. To address this, Microsoft is providing many free updates and tools that will update your system automatically or visit Microsoft’s down load center: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads If you have any questions how this may affect your products, please feel free to give us a call. |
